The town of Winlock was established on December 27, 1873 and later incorporated on February 28, 1883.

Located in Lewis County, Washington, we are centrally located between Portland, OR and Seattle, WA just 13 miles from Interstate 5

Our community offers an abundance of natural surroundings and recreational activities located between the Pacific Coast and Cascade Mountains

The city operates under a mayor/council form of government and adopted a cash-basis of accounting and reporting

The city provides police, code enforcement, municipal court, water distribution, wastewater collection/treatment, storm water collection and general administrative services.  Street maintenance, land use, planning and building review and parks and recreation activities
