Planning & Park Commission

Please note that the City Council adopted on May 28, 2024 Ordinance No. 1166 that combined the Planning Commission and the Park Board.

The Planning & Park Commission acts in an advisory capacity to city council regarding regulations and rules for supervision of the parks, locating and planning park sites, and promoting use of city parks.  Our goal is to provide park and recreation services that are creative, beneficial, and responsive to the needs of the community.

Winlock’s rich history and abundance of natural beauty, along with a strong sense of community spirit and pride are part of what attracts locals and visitors alike.  

The Planning & Park Commission is comprised of five (5) members.  Members are appointed by the Mayor, subject to approval by the City Council.

The City of Winlock has open positions for Planning & Park Commission members. If you are interested, please submit an application to city hall.

Meeting Information

Planning and Park Board meetings are held the 1st Monday of every month at 6:00 pm at city hall, 323 N.E. First St in council chambers, except on holidays. If that Monday falls on a holiday they will meet the next business day.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend!
